Councilmember - Ward 3
Mike is beginning his second term on the City Council representing Ward 3. He has served on the Mount Vernon Planning Commission, as a Commissioner for Skagit County Fire Protection District #3, is Past President of the Skagit/Mount Vernon Rotary Club, Past Co-President of the Jefferson School Parents Group, Past President of the Mount Vernon Public Schools Foundation, former trustee of the Skagit Valley Hospital Foundation, a former volunteer firefighter/EMT, and is a proud Eagle Scout. Mike is a graduate of Mount Vernon High School, Skagit Valley College, and Washington State University. Mike is an accountant with Oostra Rouw and Associates; he and his wife Jenna have two children, Elizabeth and Matthew.
