Mark is a lifelong resident of Skagit County and is serving his first term on the Mount Vernon City Council. Mark previously served 4 years on the Mount Vernon Planning Commission, most recently as the Chairman of the Commission in 2011. Mark served 6 years on the Mount Vernon Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and was Board Chairman in 2010. Mark has been involved in many organizations and service clubs in our community.
Mark and his wife Gloria moved to Mount Vernon in 2001. Their son BJ works for the Ferndale School District, he and his wife Jocelyn reside in Ferndale with their 3 sons Brien Markus, Joshua and Nathaniel. Their son Bryan works for Dick’s Towing in Everett and as a personal trainer. Jacob, their youngest son, attends Mount Vernon Christian School and is active in the sports programs at school. In 2009 they purchased Bavarian Autohaus, a company that was started in 1984. |
