Missing Person/Recovered Body

On 3-21-07 at 1pm, a witness observed a body floating in the Skagit River near the Anacortes water treatment plant. Skagit County Sheriff Department launched a boat and recovered the body.

The deceased is identified as 29 year old, Steven David White of Mount Vernon. Mr. White had been reported as a missing person to the Mount Vernon Police Department on January 29, 2007.

An autopsy will be performed to determine cause of death. Initial investigation does not indicate foul play.

Investigation continuing.
