On Saturday morning, 8/6/05, at about 4:30 AM, officers on patrol heard what were believed to be multiple gunshots emanating from a residential neighborhood. Several residents began calling police which led them to the 100 block of North 30th Street. A home had been struck multiple times by bullets, a few of which had passed through rooms where family members were sleeping. No injuries resulted. Officers have been collecting evidence and talking with neighbors since the incident. There is no known reason for this home to be targeted. The investigation is ongoing.
An update will be available Monday morning, unless the situation warrants a release before then.
